Established in 2016, Mako Construction Remodeling LLC (MRC) began as a remodeling company. Situation

MRC was transitioning from a remodeling construction company to a trucking company hauling construction materials. They had good profitable work available to them if they could take advantage of the opportunity. MRC had two dump trucks used to haul sand, rock, and demolition materials, but needed additional equipment to grow their business and take on new clients. With limited corporate purchasing history and credit, they couldn’t get a loan from their bank and their equipment dealer could not finance them.

Solution

Their salesman, and friend, at their local truck dealer recommended Commercial Credit Group. MRC’s owner met with the local CCG rep and explained their situation and their growth strategy. The CCG rep reviewed their financial statements and realized they had good cash flow and a pipeline of incoming work. Additionally, the company owners were open and honest about their business and their aspirations. They had the potential to grow quickly and just needed the financial resources to make that happen.

Results

MRC originally began working with CCG to purchase two dump trucks in 2020. They now own 23 dump trucks, a wheel loader, and a service truck. They continue to grow and have recommended CCG and the local CCG rep to other business owners.

The company owners feel like the industry is very much a family and consider CCG to be part of that family.
