LOCATION

South Texas

In the heart of South Texas, amid the scorching sun and the sprawling Rio Grande Valley, a group of ranchers saw an opportunity that would change the face of construction in their region. What began as a response to frustration soon became a bold, strategic venture — one that would disrupt the local concrete industry and ultimately make history.

“CCG’s differentiator is their proactive mindset. They think like business partners, not bankers. They’re invested in our long-term success, not just the current deal. That’s why we trust them with our most critical growth decisions.” -Eliud Cavazos, Partner at 57Concrete

From Ranches to Ready-Mix: The Beginning of 57Concrete

The founders of 57Concrete didn’t set out to become industry titans. Their roots were in ranching, but a connection to local aggregate resources gave them insight into what was missing in the regional construction supply chain. For too long, the local, established ready-mix companies couldn’t keep up with demand or deliver consistent quality. The founding 57Concrete board members realized they could do better. They made a bold decision: to build a better alternative from the ground up.

And so, in August 2020, 57Concrete was formed.

With just 4 trucks and $0 in the bank, they launched a business during one of the most uncertain periods in recent history: the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead of shying away from risk, they leaned in. The team focused everything on aggregates and ready-mix concrete - essential, high-demand services that couldn’t wait.

The company name, 57Concrete, is a nod to #57 stone, a core ingredient in concrete. But it also represented something more personal — the age of the founders and the years of wisdom and grit they brought to the table.

Laying the Groundwork for Growth

From the outset, the team had a 5-year plan: to grow from 4 to 60 trucks. Every dollar was reinvested, every hire was strategic, and every challenge was met with hustle. But growth requires fuel, and that means funding.

That’s when they hit a wall.

Traditional lenders didn’t get it. The numbers didn’t make sense to people without industry knowledge and expertise. The pace was too fast, the vision too bold. Time and again, financing fell through or came with terms that just didn’t work. For a company trying to scale aggressively in a fast-moving industry, that kind of friction could have completely stalled its momentum.

Enter Commercial Credit Group Inc. (CCG)

While others hesitated, Commercial Credit Group stepped up. The relationship started by CCG offering competitive terms — just 5% down on their first truck. But more importantly, CCG brought something rare: industry insight and personal commitment. The CCG regional sales manager toured 57’s facilities, walked the job sites, and broke bread with the team. This wasn’t just business, it was the start of a partnership rooted in trust and shared ambition.  Their CCG rep even wears the 57Concrete logo proudly, because when you believe in someone’s mission, you show up for it.

Making History in the Valley

With CCG’s support, 57Concrete didn’t just survive, they thrived.

Today, less than 5 years later, the company’s fleet has grown to 54 trucks, with financing in place to surpass their original goal of 60. They’ve gone from residential driveways to landmark projects like the McAllen Airport, major water reservoirs, and even a record-breaking partnership with SpaceX, pouring concrete for a launch pad over a 28-hour stretch with 300 trucks, the largest concrete pour in Rio Grande Valley history.

Yet, despite their explosive growth and high-profile projects, 57Concrete has never forgotten its roots. 57Concrete still serves its original residential customers, the ones many companies outgrow and leave behind.

That loyalty is part of what makes them different and what makes their relationship with CCG so enduring.

The Road Ahead

As they look to the future, 57Concrete isn’t slowing down. They’re expanding to new markets across Texas, taking on bigger projects, and training the next generation of drivers and operators to sustain long-term growth. Just as they have from the beginning, Commercial Credit Group will be right there with them, helping to fund the journey, celebrating the wins, and solving the challenges that come with bold ambition.

Because when you find a financial partner who truly believes in your vision, you don’t just build a business.

You build a legacy.
